Quickstart.zip is just a backup of our demo website, it means that it contains all standard joomla files, all our extensions used on demo website, a template, images and a database that includes configured extensions and custom modules etc. In short, Quickstart is the exact copy of a template's demo website.
What is a template?
A template is responsible for website layout only. It doesn't contain a database, our extensions or images used for custom modules, so everything has to be configured from the scratch. Customers, who have live websites already running, commonly use a template only to save database but get the other website layout.
NOTE:A TEMPLATE DOESN'T CONTAIN DATABASE, so installing the template via Template Manager will not install demo copy. If you have fresh standard joomla installed already (e.g with Fantactico ), must delelete all files and install quickstart.
How to get the copy of our demo website?
That's really simple to do and takes about 3 minutes! ...provided that you know all necessary details you need to install quickstart manually via FTP. The installation process looks exactly the same like with a standard joomla package.
